The Long-Term Vision - Northern Section


The multi-use trail proceeds along the rail cut from Prince Arthur Street to Quinpool Road, where it crosses to the other side under the road bridge. It proceeds through Flinn Park and along Roosevelt Drive to Chebucto Road.

The trail crosses to the other side of the rail embankment via a pedestrian overpass on the rail bridge. It goes back of the West End Mall complex through to Mumford Road, level with the rail tracks.

It goes under the road bridges at Mumford Road and the Highway 102 exit ramp, then crosses to the other side of the rail cut by an under bridge crossing at Bayers Road.

The final section of the multi-use trail goes back of the Bayers Road Shopping Centre to the back of the Superstore on Joseph Howe Drive. In one direction, a pedestrian bridge allows access to Joseph Howe Drive and the beginning of the Chain of Lakes Trail. In the other direction, the trail proceeds through the Fairview Cemetery to Connaught Avenue.
